My name is LaWeeda Darden, and I am the founder and CEO of D&R Life Group, LLC, a life insurance business built on a foundation of faith, family values, and financial wisdom passed down by my father and mother.
Growing up, my father made it a priority to teach my sisters and me — his three daughters — about the importance of life insurance, finances, and saving. He didn’t just talk to us about money — he taught us how to respect it. When we got our first jobs, he personally took us to the bank to open our own savings accounts. His rule was clear: “Don’t touch that money. Don’t live above your means. Leave a legacy.” That lesson stuck with me and became a core part of who I am and how I now serve others.
